Nikwax Rug Wash™ is a natural vegetable-based soap cleaner for all animal rugs and coats. The safe way to thoroughly clean, and revitalise insulation, water repellency and breathability of your horse rug!
We at HorseFit use this product on our turnouts and know it to be a safe & effective way to thoroughly clean your rugs, optimizing performance and extending their useable life. Washing machine application is quick, easy, and ensures that the whole rug is thoroughly cleaned! Alternately, there are hand washing instructions for those not wanting to machine wash.
Uses per bottle:
- Approximately 150ml needed per rug (machine wash), 1L bottle provides you with 7 washes
All Nikwax packaging is made from 100% recycled plastic and is recyclable (#2 plastic) in New Zealand
Always check your washing machines maximum weight limit before washing rugs. DO NOT USE HIGH HEAT, HOT water will quickly begin damaging the Aquatrans coating on your Horseware turnout. Water temperature should never exceed 30 degrees Celsius. Air dry away from heat sources such as portable electric heaters or fireplaces, as that can also damage the waterproof coating.
